Start with destination and intended use
Requirements vary with the country, product construction and how the equipment is placed or sold. Record the destination, commercial use, installation environment, voltage, frequency and refrigerant before asking which documents apply.
Check the identity on the document
Useful evidence identifies the manufacturer or applicant, product designation, applicable standard, issuing or testing organisation, date and scope. Confirm that the quoted cabinet is included rather than relying on a certificate from another family.
Review the final configuration
A component, controller, plug, heater, screen or refrigerant change may affect the documentation path. Freeze the commercial configuration and ask the supplier to state which evidence covers it.
Build a shipment file list
Agree which reports, declarations, labels, manuals and shipment documents will be supplied, in which language and at what project milestone. Confirm local requirements with qualified compliance professionals before ordering.
